Fresh from his re-election as MP for Runnymede & Weybridge, Dr Ben Spencer attended the State Opening of Parliament on Wednesday.
The annual occasion sees The King officially open the new Parliamentary session and set out the aims and agenda of his Government.
Dr Ben said: "It was a privilege to attend the State Opening of Parliament today and begin the new parliamentary session, working to deliver for our country, our communities and constituents.
"As Rishi Sunak stated in today's debate on the King's Speech, it is the duty of all MPs across Parliament to work with the Government to ensure we can achieve this, supporting where appropriate, questioning and amending where needed, and holding to account where required."
Dr Ben welcomed proposals to strengthen mental health legislation, protect leaseholders and improve standards for social housing tenants, as having potential benefits to constituents, and looks forward to seeing the detail of their plans.
He added: "I will continue to work both locally and in Westminster to deliver on my commitments to constituents, and keep Runnymede and Weybridge moving."
