David Curran is our candidate in Addlestone North and is fighting to turn the seat blue.
He has a proven track record of delivering for the local area. When a park close to his home became a magnet for crime and antisocial behaviour, David was instrumental in setting up a neighbourhood watch scheme which made a huge difference and has reclaimed the park for the community.
David says, "I live in Addlestone with my wife and two children and work as a freelance editor in films and video, having started my career in 1978. I moved here nearly 30 years ago so I know our community very well and I believe I am well placed to represent local views and concerns at the Council."
His top three priorities if elected are: 1) investment in Addlestone - the Conservatives introduced the successful Addlestone One re-development and David will work with the community and business to make Addlestone a leading place to shop and work; 2) Keeping the town safe and litter free; 3) Supporting our service - keeping Meals on Wheels on a secure footing and investing in housing and parks.
Addlestone's borough and county councillor John Furey added his support for David's campaign, noting that: "David has lived locally for 28 years and genuinely understands our community and local concerns. I know he will be a strong voice for residents."
