Nick Wase-Rogers combines flying the flag for conservatism with getting behind the interests of residents in Thorpe.
A former property solicitor, he is seeking to represent Thorpe village at Runnymede Borough Council if successful at the local elections on Thursday 5 May.
Nick says, "When I was a councillor in Virginia Water I opposed the Local Plan. This was in contrast to the Independent councillors in Thorpe who supported the Plan including the removal of part of our ward from the green belt."
If elected a Thorpe councillor, Nick will have three priorities. These are 1) To listen to residents' views on planning and press for the enforcement of planning breaches; 2) To keep a close eye on borough expenditure and investments; 3) To exert pressure on the Government to conclude the Flood Alleviation Scheme.
Nick is longstanding Thorpe resident who is proud of the village's history and architecture and wants its merits to be better known.
Dr Ben Spencer MP says, "Nick is an experienced councillor who knows how to get things done. He will be a strong voice for the community and I urge voters to support him on Thursday 5 May."
