I am Tanya Solomon, the Deputy Chairman (Political) of Runnymede & Weybridge Conservative Association and it is my role to organise our campaigns and to find outstanding candidates to represent our party at election time.
We pride ourselves in fielding a candidate at every local election in Runnymede and Elmbridge so that you, our members, have a Conservative to vote for and someone to campaign on the issues you care about.
However, we can only do this if our members and supporters are willing to put themselves forward. We are currently looking for candidates for the 2024 borough council elections, so if you've ever thought you might like to represent your community this could be your opportunity.
It doesn't matter if you have not been involved in politics before as long as you are community mind, sensible and willing to get stuck in. There is no 'typical candidate' either. We're open to applications from people from all walks of life and backgrounds.
