Conservatives have launched our manifesto for Runnymede with a commitment to keep council tax low, to tackle climate change and anti-social behaviour, invest in our communities and give a stronger voice to our residents.
The sun was shining on the beautiful Memorial Fields in Ottershaw as we kicked off our campaign for the 5th May local elections in the presence of MP Dr Ben Spencer, Association Chairman Neva Novaky and our brilliant candidates.

MP Dr Ben Spencer said: "It's worth reflecting how difficult it is to put yourself forwards for election, to stand up for your community, that's not an easy thing. So I think it's fantastic that we've got such a range of superb candidates standing this year and I can't wait to join them the doorsteps talking about what we are doing and how we're delivering for local people. The Conservatives have a proud story to tell in Runnymede and Weybridge of how we are making the streets safer, making the area greener and how we are supporting jobs."
Cllr Nick Prescott, Conservative leader of Runnymede Borough Council, added: "At Runnymede we punch well above our weight. We have our own depot for household waste, we've just put another £150,000 into our open spaces, we are redeveloping our town centres - we are a council that is really delivering for people, consistently year in and year out."
