Cllr Peter Snow is fighting for a new skateboard park in Addlestone after the one at Aviator Park closed following a court ruling.
Last year, a district judge sided with residents who were concerned about noise from the site and restricted the hours of use. The Council ended up having to remove the equipment.
Cllr Snow said: "Since then I've been fighting to get the skateboarders a new home. We've surveyed locations and think Victory Park or Sayers Court are the best alternatives. “We will put a bid in to the Surrey Youth Fund for the funds we need. I very much hope we can get a new skatepark soon as this is much needed facility for local young people.”
Runnymede's Conservative council is also refurbishing the skatepark at Heathervale Recreation Ground in New Haw.
